Distribution in scandinavian waters

Maximum length: 2-10 cm long branches. Appearance: Has a grey-green or yellow-green, bush like body, comprising of narrow and stiff, protruding or hanging branches that originate from a common point of attachment. The fruiting structures are contained at the points of each branch. The stalk is short and arched, has a grey-yellow disc that is surrounded by a thin edge that is often bent backwards and has the same colour as the body. Depth: Environment: Grows on saltwater splashed cliffs in the upper parts of the beach zone, but not on cliffs that have been over fertilized by bird droppings. Classification: Are members of the lichen group.
