Distribution
Distribution in scandinavian waters

Maximum length: 20 cm.
Appearance: Varying colours; yellowish, greenish, orange-red or red-brown with two dark lateral bands along its body; usuallly with a white pigmentation on both sides of the depression on its back. The head has four eyes, two pairs of antennae and in the mouth are two black jaws.
Depth: 0-40 m.
Environment: Digs into soft bottoms from the waters edge and deeper.
Classification: Ragworms are members of the segmented worm group under the polychaetes.
