Way of life

In Swedish waters, furcellaria lumbricalis bushes are large, up 20 cm, but are sparsely branched. In the Baltic, they are shorter, 10 cm, but more densely branched, while in the Gulf of Bothnia they are at the most 0,5 dm tall. Deep living individuals, i.e. deeper than 15 m can be unbranched or have very few branches.
