Distribution
Distribution in scandinavian waters

Maximum length: 20 cm, max. dia.10 cm.
Appearance: Varying colours. The column can have a red-brown, flesh-red, olive-brown, salmon-pink, yellow-white or white colour. The tentacles and oral disc usually have the same colour, but can deviate to a grey or orange colour.
Depth: 0,5-100 m.
Environment: Very common around quaysides and jetties, especially in flowing water.
Classification: The plumose anemone belongs to the anthozoa group under the cnidarians.
