Distribution
Distribution in scandinavian waters

Maximum length: 20 cm.
Appearance: Red-brown in colour over the carapace with a yellow-white colour on the underside. Claw tips are black.
Depth: 2-50 m.
Environment: Found usually on stone and gravel bottoms.
Classification: The common crab belongs to the sub-group brachyura (true crabs), a crustacaen ordered under the arthropods.
