Distribution
Distribution in scandinavian waters

Maximum length: 2-3 cm.
Appearance: Chitons are primitive molluscs with a body covered by eight calcareous dorsal plates. The head has no tentacles, eyes or jaws, but a radula, a rasp tongue.
Depth: 0- m.
Environment: Chitons live on hard bottoms and more or less close to the shoreline where they eat algae.
Classification: There are only two specie in Swedish waters. Chitons are members of the mollusc group.
