Littorina saxatilis

Scientific names: Litus or litoris means beach, while saxatilis means to have its place (haunt) amongst cliffs and rocks. Both words are of Latin origin.
Viviparus means to give live birth.

Other scientific names: Littorina rudis, Littorina neglecta and Littorina tenebrosa.
