Distribution
Distribution in scandinavian waters

Maximum length: 20 cm.
Appearance: Varies in colour; red-fleshy, green-yellow to black-green or nearly black. The gills have a strong red colour and on the hind parts are small outgrowths.
Depth: 0-20 m.
Environment: Digs into the sand, from the waters edge and deeper.
Classification: Lugworms are members of the polychaete group under the segmented worm group.
