
Distribution in scandinavian waters

Maximum length: 20 cm.
Appearance: Easily recognized because of the dark
spots on the stalk of the tail and the front edge of the
dorsal fin.
Depth: 0-20 m.
Environment: Very common amongst seaweed. Spawns during the summer, laying transparent eggs that are about 1 mm in diametre. The eggs and the young are pelagic.
Classification: The Goldsinny is part of the group boney fish
under the vertebrates.
