Spider crab

Distribution in scandinavian waters

Maximum length: 10 cm. Appearance: Red brown to grey in colour over the carapace, off white on the underside. Depth: 3-50 m. Environment: The spider crab is relatively common all along the Swedish west coast on algae covered bottoms. Classification: The spider carb is a member of the ten-footed crustaceans under the arthropods.
