Distribution in scandinavian waters

Maximum length: 10-20 cm.
Appearance: Ivory, light red or blue in colour. Nearly always branchy.
Depth: 0-3000 m.
Environment: Often found attached to littoral macro algae.
Classification: The common flower-head belongs to the hydrozoa group under the cnidarians.
