Aquaint yourself with the beach
Get a general view of both the drained
and undrained areas of the beach. If possible you should try and view
the beach area from a high vantage point. Try and see patterns. Is the
beach divided into distinct areas that are easily defined? Are there any
deviations from a distinct pattern so that larger areas are broken up
into smaller that merge into each other?
Carefully walk around the beach and study those areas that
you observed from your vantage point. Even walk in the water if it is
possible. Try to find something that is beautiful and interesting. It
should be something that want to take with you and keep. We know that
you will choose something carefully to minimize damage to the environment.
