Shells on a beach

Mark out a little area of the beach that you will study more closely. The area in question can be above or below the water surface. Approach the area carefully, taking care not to disturb organisms or mixing up the sediment.
Start by taking a good look and try to see as many things as possible. They can be both dead or alive. When you are sure you have seen everything, you can start picking up things to scrutinize. Use all your senses.
