Foodstuffs (recipe)

Gratinated mussels in garlic butter (4 portions)

Time: about 50 minutes

Ingredients:

  4 dozen large mussels

  Parsley

  2 garlic cloves

  150 g butter

  1 coffee cup of breadcrumbs

  salt & pepper

Method:

  Cut the butter into smaller pieces, place in a bowl and let soften in room temperature.

  Scrub and wash the mussels.Place in a saucepan and heat vigorously until they open (about 10 minutes). Shake occasionally.

  Set and heat the oven to 275-300° C.

  Rinse, dry and chop the parsley.

  Peel and chop the garlic.

  Mix the garlic and the parsley into the soft butter.

  Add salt, pepper and mix well.

  Let the mussels lay in their shells and cover with a layer of garlic butter.

  Sprinkle with breadcrumbs.

  Place the mussels in an oven dish and gratinate for 5 minutes.

  Serve straight from the oven!
